Martin Houston is a Director and Vice Chairman of Tellurian Inc. Before founding Tellurian, Mr. Houston spent more than 30 years at BG Group plc, and retired in February 2014 as the Group’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director. From 2008 to 2014, he was the Vice President for the Americas of the International Group of Liquefied Natural Gas Importers. From 2004 to 2009, he served as a Non-Executive Director of Severn Trent plc, he is a former director of the Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators (SIGTTO), and a former VP/Americas of the International Group of Liquefied Natural Gas Importers (GIIGNL). Mr. Houston is the International Chairman of Tudor Pickering Holt, a Houston-based investment bank; a member of the National Petroleum Council of the United States; a Non-Executive Director of the British United Provident Association Limited; a Senior Advisor to Pine Brook Partners, a private equity firm based in New York; and a Non-Executive Director of CC Energy Development, a private oil and gas E&P company. In 2011, he became the first recipient of the CWC LNG Executive of the Year award. Mr. Houston is also a Companion of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
