Yoven Moorooven is in charge of the International Division within the Global Energy Management Business Unit in ENGIE, being responsible for the development of all new energy market activities globally.
Yoven has a diversified background having spent more than 13 years in Investment Banking, Energy trading and the Utilities sector. He began his career as an intern in Gaselys (ex-JV between Société Générale and Gaz de France) in 2003, after which he spent 3 years in the company as Market Economist and as an Originator. In 2006, he moved into Investment Banking at Macquarie Bank in London to develop the bank’s energy markets division. As he progressed in his career, he became the Head of Origination and Sales for EMEA for all energy related commodities. After 5 years he was made a partner at Macquarie Bank.
In 2012, he moved to Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for the management of the Gas, Power and Coal Origination and Trading activities in Europe. Yoven joined ENGIE in May 2013. Until the 1st of January 2016, he held the position of Global Head of Coal, Freight and Biomass within Energy Management and Trading, being responsible for the development and optimization of the Group’s Coal and Biomass merchant activities and the Bulk shipping, trading and operations department.
He holds a Master in Econometrics and a Master in Banking, Finance and Commodities
