Ira Miriawati graduated from Trisakti University as a petroleum engineer in 1988. A year after that she joined Pertamina E&P as a Production Engineer.
Four years after her first career, she continued her study at University of Indonesia, majoring Industrial Management. She then was to be a Reservoir Engineer after that. In 1989 she was moved to a different department of Pertamina – Management Production Sharing (MPS) – which managed, monitored all PSC in Indonesia. With her Master Degree, she decided to involve in the oil and gas field economic development which allowed her not to have to visit the fields often.
Her career grew when she became Manager of Field Development in 2000, and as a Senior Manager from 2004 -2009. Because of the application of oil and gas new law in 2001, she no longer worked for Pertamina, and MPS became BP Migas (now SKK Migas). In March 2009 she was promoted to Vice President Oil and Gas Utilization responsible for marketing oil, condensate, gas, LNG.
Two years later she moved to VP Representative Management of Chevron in Indonesia as SKK Migas Representative. And since 2012 she has been VP Assessment and Development Management with major duties evaluating and review the Exploration studies, management oil and gas Indonesia resources and reserve, Oil and Gas Field development, and EOR Project.
