Takahashi is in charge of human resource recruitment and development in JAPEX.
Takahashi has a B.Sc.degree in geology from IGPS (Tohoku University) in 1988.
He has over 25 years’ experience as an exploration geologist for JAPEX. He has worked on exploration and development projects in Japan, Southeast & Central Asia, and East & West Siberia.
His research interests include petroleum system and integrated stratigraphy of Japan. He has published several professional articles on the petroleum system and on the stratigraphy of Neogene in Japan.
He is an active member of the Geological Society of Japan, the Paleontological Society of Japan and the Japanese Association for Petroleum Technology.
