Ken Tomisaki

Ken Tomisaki joined SMBC in April 2012 as Senior Vice President of the Project Finance Group in Tokyo. He has more than 15 years experience in project finance and structured export finance and has been assigned to structure, originate, execute, and provide advisory for multiple high profile transactions with Japanese company involvement globally.

Ken began his career at JBIC and played key roles in prominent projects in the energy sector including LNG projects, pipeline projects, FPSO projects, and IPP projects.

Before joining SMBC, Ken worked at Natixis Tokyo Branch as one of the key original staffs to set up a banking branch in Tokyo and structure JBIC/NEXI transactions. At Natixis, his main task was to build up banking capability for JBIC and NEXI transactions and develop relationships with Japanese trading companies and exporters and originate transactions and provide advisory service.

Prior to Natixis, Ken worked at DEPFA Bank in Structured Export Finance and was initial member of global structured export finance business, with mandate to originate and structure ECA finance globally with focus on Asia.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Waseda University, Japan and an MBA from Stanford University, USA
