Biography

As Vice President of LNG, Steven has technology leadership over Fluor LNG activities, including assuring that our offers and projects meet client techno-commercial requirements. Steven has over 34 years of experience in hydrocarbon project roles including project management and process technology. He has daily involvement with the Fluor and Client teams to ensure success. He is also a leader in our business development team in marketing and pursuit of LNG prospects.

Steven has expertise in light hydrocarbons and cryogenic process facilities based on his years of experience in gas monetization and olefins technology. Before beginning his current role at Fluor in 2014, Steven worked at KBR, Inc. in the Gas Monetization Business Unit. During that time he had project and technology director roles for LNG projects where he led and managed multi-disciplinary project and technology teams. He spent four years as the director of gas monetization technology for London-based M.W. Kellogg Ltd./KBR, where he served as leader in technology and business development on LNG / gas projects there.

Previously, Borsos also spent time with the Virginia Indonesia Company (VICO) where as a project manager he oversaw engineering aspects for new business development projects and provided technical support to the PT. Badak NGL Company LNG facility in Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Steven has international experience from working with M. W. Kellogg Ltd. and VICO, as well as facility start-ups in the USA, South America and Europe. During these assignments, Borsos served as a representative in the European Gas Producers Association (GPA) and as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Ethylene Producers’ Committee (EEPC). Steven is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He has made a number of presentations at conferences around the globe.

Steven has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and has participated in the Finance & Accounting for Executives Program at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
