Marco graduated with a Master's degree in Electrical Energy Engineering (1st) from the University of Padova in 2016. Currently, he serves as an Electrical Plant Integration Engineer at Baker Hughes in Florence.
In his role, Marco's focus centers on the BOP distribution system for two mega LNG plants (20MTPA, 1.2GW islanded electric generation each).
Additionally, he actively contributes to feasibility studies exploring hybrid power plant solutions, integrating renewables, energy storage and conventional gas-fired generation.
Prior to his current position, Marco spent four years working in England for a leading consulting engineering firm in the construction sector and two years on a Fusion power plant at the ITER organization in France.
At ITER, his primary focus involved engineering analysis, utilizing ETAP and MATLAB Simulink to study the ITER HV interconnection with the French grid. Notably, he developed a model that simulated the effects of a 400kV transformer saturation on voltage transients at ITER.
