Mitchell Silver is COO and Senior VP of Logistics for Clean Hydrogen Works (CHW). Together with its JV partners Denbury, MOL, and Hafnia, CHW is developing a world-scale (7.2 MTPA) clean hydrogen-ammonia facility, Ascension Clean Energy (ACE). ACE is located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, and is expected to be operational by 2028. ACE will capture up to 98% of its CO2 to deliver low-cost low-carbon clean ammonia to global export markets, providing these markets with a cost-competitive solution and transition to zero-carbon fuels.

Mr. Silver started his career with Celanese Chemical company where he became Manager of Major Projects in Transportation. In 1985, Mitch joined DCS as the Managing Director of this Clarksons Joint Venture Company. Clarksons, established in 1852, is the world’s largest publicly traded international ship brokerage, financial services, and shipping data firm. At DCS Mitch specialized in strategic maritime and terminal consultancy for multinational companies such as Mitsui & Company, ExxonMobil, Dow, Aramco, Marathon, OCI, and SABIC. His work centered on advising clients on logistics for new LNG, LPG, Ammonia, and Methanol projects worldwide. During his tenure at DCS, he negotiated numerous complex long-term shipping and terminal contracts. He also aided in the design of numerous vessels and supervised the construction of over 20 tankers and gas carriers. He has advised clients on bunkering options, and safety protocol in particular around the use of dual-fuel engines for ocean-going vessels.

Mr. Silver received an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the City College New York (CCNY) and is a Licensed Professional Engineer with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (#75305).
