Mr. Hiroki Sato is Chief Fuel Transactions Officer, Senior Executive Vice President of JERA Co., Inc. He graduated from Keio University, specializing in Marketing Management and has a career as a diplomat in Middle East for a certain terms.

He has over 20 years of experience in LNG procurement and trading.

He made several innovative deals such as joint purchasing, time swap, tripartite SPA, liquefaction tolling agreements with FLNG Liquefaction, LLC which is an affiliate of Freeport LNG Expansion etc., in Chubu.

Mr Darius Lim is Head of Strategic Relations and Head of Corporate Affairs of Pavilion Energy Pte Ltd, where he oversees the strategic management of key stakeholder relationships; as well as external and internal communications and management of the Pavilion Energy brand, respectively. Prior to joining Pavilion Energy, he was a Senior Director at the Singapore Ministry of Law. Mr Lim was also the Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), where he was involved in developing communications strategies for MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

  •         Scott N. Ickes is Qatargas’ Manager of Business Support for the Commercial & Shipping Group. 
  •         Mr. Ickes joined Qatargas in 2013 as manager of the Americas Liaison Office in Houston, and transferred to Doha, Qatar, in 2014 to assume his current role.
  •         Mr. Ickes has over 30 years of downstream trading and marketing experience in the crude oil, refined products, natural gas, wholesale power and LNG sectors.
  •         He currently manages a menu of activities designed to support the marketing of Qatargas’ 42 mtpa of LNG production.

Daniel Purba, graduated from Petroleum Engineering in 1985, and master degree in Engineering Management in 1998. Starting his career in PT Pertamina (Persero), an Indonesian State Energy Company, in 1991 as market analyst for international oil trading. He was appointed as VP Marketing of PETRAL (Pertamina Energy Trading Limited)-based in Singapore in 2003.

Paco obtained a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 2000. His career has spanned from Finance, Economics, Energy Trading and Risk Management to LNG Marketing. In 2006 he joined Qatargas were he has held various roles before being appointed as Assistant Marketing Director in 2008. He is responsible for the preparation of LNG marketing strategies, plans and outlooks on behalf of Qatargas 1, 2, 3 and 4. Paco is also an Executive Committee Member of the International Gas Union [IGU].

Roger leads a global team responsible for market access for Shell’s LNG production, entry to new markets, the provision of commercial advice and communications strategy. He was formerly Vice President New Business Development for the Asia Pacific LNG market and Director, Shell CSG (2008 – 2010). In his time with Shell, Roger has been a key player in building Shell’s leading global LNG production, marketing and trading positions.

Katan joined SG in December 2005 having spent 5 years in the industry with BG Group based in Brazil, Tunisia and Iran. He has cultivated a wide experience of advisory and arranging roles across the energy sector including LNG, refineries, pipelines and upstream. He leads a number of landmark advisory deals for the bank including Mozambique LNG, Brass LNG (for strategic investors) and floating LNG mandates. He also led the financing of the landmark Egyptian Refining Company financing.

Debbie is currently the Senior Shipping Adviser to Simpson, Spence and Young, one of the largest privately owned shipbroking firms in the world.

With over 30 years of LNG and LPG experience she began her career with Burbank Marine which became part of the Braemar Seascope group in 1999. She established the current LNG desk in Braemar which has grown in stature and worked closely with the successful technical arm of the company, Braemar Engineering (formerly Wavespec).
