World Affairs Council of Greater Houston
The World Affairs Council of Greater Houston is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that has provided international affairs programming to Houstonians since 1969 and is one of the largest public forums in the city. Our mission, promoting understanding of the world to enable our community to participate more effectively in it, is realized through three pillars of service: Programs, Education, and Travel. Our outreach connects Houstonians, students and teachers to global thought leaders through expert-led lectures, panel discussions, trivia nights, unique travel opportunities, and workshops. Previous speakers include Secretary Madeleine Albright, Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison, General Stanley McChrystal and James Clapper.
