Gen Kunihiro is Chairman and CEO of Diamond Gas International (DGI), a wholly-owned LNG  marketing, trading and shipping subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation. DGI handles Mitsubishi’s  global  LNG  portfolio,  and  works  in  close  collaboration  with  Mitsubishi  Corporation’s  global  network to deliver integrated solutions across the entire gas value chain.  Gen has over twenty-years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Upon graduating from the Faculty  of  Law  at  Keio  University  he  joined  Mitsubishi  Corporation  and  started  his  career  on steel  products  export  business.  From  early  2000’s  his  business  focus  shifted  to  oil  and  gas  industry  and  worked  on  major  LNG  projects  in  Russia  and  Australia.  In  2019,  Gen  was appointed  General  Manager  of  Global  Marketing  Department  of  Mitsubishi’s  Natural  Gas Business  Division.  In  2020,  he  assumed  the  role  of  President  and  COO  of  DGI  in  Singapore
and in March 2022, started his present role.  Prior  to  assuming  his  role  at  DGI  in  Singapore,  Gen’s  postings  included  a  stint  in  Jakarta  (1998-2003) and Perth (2015-2018).
