Mr Sola studied Engineering at Turin Polytechnic and then he got a master’s degree in business administration at Milan Polytechnic. He jointed Maire Tecnimont Group in 2002, gaining more than 20 years’ experience in the oil & gas and energy industry. From August 2022, Mr Sola is Group Procurement Vice President.Since joining Maire Tecnimont, for about 10 years, Mr Sola, as member of project directorate boards, led Project Management and Procurement works of various Projects in the petrochemical, fertilizer, refinery, gas treatment and power generation fields in the Middle East and North Africa Region, in Russia, in Azerbaijan, in Europe, in Japan, in South Korea, in USA, in Central America and in Malaysia.In the last five years, Mr Sola, as Head of Procurement of Integrated Project Division, led the Procurement Directorates of International Consortiums with Chinese and Russian Contractors to manage the EPC Contracts for giant Government Investments in the gas treatment and petrochemical field in the Russian Far East (Amur Region) implementing a diversified and challenging execution of procurement and logistic works mainly on Chinese and Russian Markets in cooperation with local International Procurement Offices. From 2012 to 2017, as Head of Procurement Coordination and then as Director of Procurement Chemical & Petrochemical business unit, Mr Sola was in charge of the management of Project Portfolio of Tecnimont in various Projects and Proposals. From 2013 to 2016, as Head of Purchasing Department for Project Materials, Mr Sola contributed to implement a Company Group revision of Procurement work methodologies, category management, contract frames, IT platforms and suppliers‘ qualification model.
