Ashish leads BloombergNEF’s analysis and consulting efforts in oil, gas/LNG and metals globally along with APAC wide coverage of mobility, electricity, renewable energy, digital technologies and energy storage. His team, which is spread across APAC, New York and London, focuses on helping clients optimize financial returns and minimize risks. It analyzes asset valuations, financing and contractual structures, investment and policy trends, commodity flows and prices, technology innovation and other demand-supply drivers. Over the years Ashish has moderated sessions and spoken at forums such as the World Future Energy Summit, World Energy Leader’s Summit and the Clean Energy Ministerial and given inputs to the works of the World Economic Forum and the World Energy Council. He has also been invited to share his views at the London Stock Exchange, the White House executive office and at leading educational institutions. Ashish is extensively quoted by media organizations like Bloomberg TV, The Guardian, Sky News, Economic Times and Mint. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he led digital technology, capital budgeting/cash flow optimization and business process reengineering projects in the energy & utilities sector at business consulting and technology firms. Ashish started his career with one of India’s largest private sector power companies where he was in charge of commercial operations and smart grid deployment. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, he has a first class degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering and a MBA in Finance and Strategy.
