Dan McGinnis is currently Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer for Commonwealth Projects, LLC. Commonwealth Projects is a development company that acquires and develops large energy infrastructure projects. Commonwealth Projects is currently developing Commonwealth LNG, LLC, an 8.4 MTPA LNG export project located in southwestern Louisiana. Dan is an industry executive with extensive background in the areas of strategy, business development, marketing & trading, government & regulatory issues and media relations. Prior to his current role, Mr. McGinnis held a number of executive positions in diverse sectors of the energy industry. He was Senior Vice President & Global Director for Worley Parsons, with responsibility for growing Worley’s impressive engineering services offering in the Unconventional Oil & Gas sector. Prior to Worley Parsons, he was Vice President and CCO for GDF SUEZ, responsible for LNG development in North America, as well as all infrastructure development, including LNG, renewables, power and pipelines in Mexico. Mr. McGinnis also spent 18 years at Atlantic Richfield Company in various commercial roles. He was Vice President, Business Development, leading ARCO’s pipeline development program in Central Asia, as well as ARCO’s power development program in South America. Prior to this, he was ARCO’s Vice President of North American marketing & trading for natural gas and power. Mr. McGinnis began his career in the Exploration and Production sector as District Landman, with responsibility for asset optimization and chief of deal structuring for Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. McGinnis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Northern Colorado.
