George heads Woodside’s Tokyo office, engaging Japanese partners and customers to support Woodside’s business. From 2013 to 2018, George was Chief Economist and Vice President Business Environment in Perth, leading Woodside’s corporate forecasting team. George lived and worked in China from 1994 to 2013 in roles with Woodside, Shell, Cambridge Energy Research, and Tsinghua University. George holds a BA from Boston College and a doctorate in political economy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His 2012 book comparing Chinese and Indian power was published by Cambridge University Press. George and his wife Coral have two daughters, Mirabelle and Ariane.
