Vice President LNG Shipping TotalEnergies
Jerome Cousin was appointed Vice President LNG Shipping at TotalEnergies in June 2020 and looks after the LNG chartering and shipping operations of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited.
He has been based in Geneva since the move of TotalEnergies LNG trading activities to Switzerland in 2019. He was then part of the Commercial LNG Shipping team.
From 2015 to 2018, before TotalEnergies acquired Engie’s LNG upstream activities in mid-2018, Jérôme Cousin held various positions in the French utility’s LNG Shipping team in Paris. His focus ranged from newbuilding LNG carrier projects to deployment of chartered FSRUs.
From 2012 to 2014, he was based in Yaoundé and served as Operations and Permitting manager for an onshore LNG export project in Cameroon developed by Engie and its local partner SNH.
From 2007 to 2012, he was involved in diverse Gas and LNG projects within GDF SUEZ, leading the construction department for onshore gas facilities in France and serving as asset manager for equity held by the group in various LNG plants.
From 2006 to 2007, he was seconded to Statoil for the commissioning of the Snøhvit LNG plant in Hammerfest, Norway.
He holds an engineering degree of Paris School of Mines and started his career in 2001 with Gaz de France, in the field of Gas and LNG project engineering and commissioning.
