Senior Vice President, Middle East bp
Stephen Willis is a member of the bp group senior leadership team. He was appointed Senior Vice President, bp Middle East effective July 1st 2020. Previously, Stephen held the role of Regional President, bp Angola and was Chairman of ACEPA (the association of Angolan Exploration and Production companies in Angola). Prior to this he was Regional President, bp Canada, Stephen joined BP as a production engineer in 1985 and has held a variety of operational and business roles in Canada, Scotland, England, Venezuela, Qatar and Angola. Born and raised in the North East of England, Stephen lived for many years in Scotland. He holds a BSc Mathematics and an MSc Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and an MBA from Warwick University. He is a dual UK and Canadian citizen. Stephen is a supporter of the HALO trust and the Horizonte Azul school in Luanda, Angola. He was formerly a member of the boards of West Island College and the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter. Claire and Stephen have been married for 30 years and their daughter and two sons live in Canada. Stephen enjoys skiing, cycling, golf and soccer.
