He has a PhD in petroleum engineering and is the Subject Matter Expert for thermodynamics, Flow Assurance and CCS at Wood in the North Sea Region. Hooman is first or co-author on over 35 refereed journals, conference publications and has an international book chapter, primarily concerning flow assurance, CO2, gas hydrates, hydrogen and complex fluid phase behaviour. Hooman was one of the original developers of the Cubic Plus Association (CPA) EoS for phase equilibria modelling of complex fluid including CO2 rich systems. His modelling approach is now widely used in oil and gas industry for hydrate management and implemented in the key thermodynamic, compositional tracking tools in industry. Hooman has been involved (as a technical expert) in the design of different hydrogen and CCS projects including Peterhead CCS, Humber CCS, Northern lights CO2 offloading, different hydrogen transport, blending studies and storage in the UK, Australia and the Middle East, etc. He is also the Technical Manager for an international and multidisciplinary project on behalf of major energy operators in the region which is focused on the development of guidelines on CO2 specification for a cost Effective CCS design and operation.
