Sarah Bairstow

Sarah Bairstow holds significant international LNG and energy leadership experience, including unique end-to-end commercial LNG project development and operating experience. Sarah has successfully marketed and delivered LNG projects from concept through to operations and executed over US$140 billion of gas and LNG transactions.

Sarah joined Woodside in 2025 as President, Louisiana LNG, responsible for the execution and delivery of the US$17.5bn Louisiana LNG project and business build out.

Prior to joining Woodside, Sarah was the Chief Executive Officer of Mexico Pacific, a U.S. based LNG developer executing the US$15bn Saguaro Energia pipeline and LNG project across the US and Mexico. Sarah was a founding executive, taking the company from an initial concept to a fully permitted, commercialised and FID-ready 15 mtpa project with 8 offices across the US, Mexico and Asia.  

Prior to Mexico Pacific, Sarah was Head of Strategic Projects and LNG Marketing (Commercial) for the 7.8 mtpa, $18.5bn Gladstone LNG Project, where she played an instrumental role from concept through to operations over a 10 year period working across project structuring, regulatory, market positioning, marketing and trading, enterprise operational readiness and operations.

Earlier in her career, Sarah was an energy projects lawyer with Ashurst, focused on LNG and broader energy project development, mergers and acquisitions, and financing.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of International Business. She is a regular plenary speaker at keynote industry conferences and has been widely recognized across the industry as a judge and award recipient including the LNG industry’s Power Play awards. Sarah is the Chair of the global Gastech Executive Committee and has served as Chair of the U.S.- Mexico Economic Council and Co-Chair of the U.S.- Mexico CEO Dialogue.
