With over 20 years of experience in LNG projects and almost the same specifically in FSRUs, Gordon has an in-depth understanding of the key issues that can lead to project success. As one of the few specialist FSRU project consultants he has been extensively involved in FSRU projects around the world, most recently in Europe where in 2022 he has been supporting more than 10 of the fast track FSRU projects that have started or are due to start in the coming years. Gordon specialises in advising companies (predominantly new players) on how to deliver new FSRU based projects, and supports them in managing the interrelated strategic, commercial, technical, and operational issues that arise during the development of their LNG projects. This support helps guide these companies from initial project concept, all the way through the practical implementation of their plans and ending at COD. This isn't just strategic advice on overall project commercial and technical concept, but also full involvement in subsequently delivering this advice through sourcing FSRUs/FSU/barges, developing and negotiation of contracts, running tenders, technical studies of candidate sites/FSRU, HSE and permitting considerations, due diligence of opportunities etc.
