Bas Kessels, MSc (Chemical Engineering) has been working at Shell since 2006, starting as a process engineer supporting projects in LNG and Gas Processing, followed by 8 years in various technology and operational roles at Europe’s largest refinery. He recently returned to LNG in his current role as Program Unit Manager LNG Decarbonisation, where he is driving technology solutions for the future of cost and carbon competitive LNG. When Bas is not decarbonising the LNG value chain, he likes to explore the outdoors on his road bike or develop his skills as a wine enthusiast.
