Gerry Traynor is President of Wood's Projects East, responsible for spearheading strategic growth across the eastern hemisphere. Prior to his current role, Gerry served as the Senior Vice President for Projects in the Middle East leading growth in the region.

With a remarkable career spanning over three decades internationally in the oil and gas industry, Gerry is an accomplished leader who has consistently led teams in ensuring safety, compliance, and ethical practices while driving business success. He has a wealth of experience in asset full life cycle from studies to EPC to maintenance. He is passionate about building teams and developing talent as we move towards a more sustainable energy landscape. 

Gerry holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Durham Business School. He also earned a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Engineering and Design from the University of Teesside. 

Gerry currently resides in Abu Dhabi with his family.
