Abdellatif Bardach was appointed as President of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) August 2018. Born in 1963 in Kenitra, Mr. Bardach has spent his entire career at the ONEE since he first joined the research department in 1990. He served successively as Provincial Director of the ONE in Kelaat Sraghna (1993), as Regional Transmission Director of Southern Region (2000). In 2003, he was appointed Head of the High and Extra High Voltage Electricity Network Equipment Projects Department, with one of his missions being the duplication of the connection with Spain and the reinforcement of the interconnections with Algeria.
With an MBA from Al Akhawayn University, thereafter Mr. Bardach was entrusted with the management of the Public Office relations with foreign countries including the “technical assistance” developed with some African countries as an “International Director” in 2007, a Central Director of Transmission Network in 2010 and a Central Director of Production in 2015. He has also held various positions within several professional organizations such as: President of the Maghreb Electric Interconnection Commission, Vice-President of the Arab Interconnection Commission, Vice-President of the Energy Federation, President of the IESOE (Interconnection of South-West Europe), President of the Strategic Committee of the OME (Mediterranean Energy Observatory) and member of its board. Recently, he was also elected as Vice-President of the Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators MEDREG on November 25, 2020.
