Douglas has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, including nearly 15 years of direct experience leading LNG liquefaction projects in North and South America. He has led the successful design, construction, start-up and operations for over 38 mtpa of LNG capacity globally totaling over $40b.

Prior to joining MPL, Douglas served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Cheniere Energy, where he successfully constructed and operated the inaugural U.S. LNG export terminals in the lower 48 states. During his time with Cheniere, he built an operating business to support development, construction, operations and growth. He excelled at optimizing company and facility operations and increasing revenues by unlocking additional LNG production above nameplate capacity. Previously he held senior positions with Hunt Oil at PERU LNG, Occidental and other major chemical, petrochemical and power projects.

Douglas holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. He serves as a Director on the board for The Alley Theatre.
