Christopher Hay is a Senior Process Engineer - LNG & Cryogenics, with Shell based in the Netherlands. Since joining Shell in 2013, Chris has worked in roles across the LNG Value chain, with experience in new project development, asset support, and research & development. In his current role, Chris leads Shell’s work on developing novel technical solutions for the deep de-carbonization of the liquefaction process in LNG assets. These solutions include electrification, renewable power integration, carbon capture and storage, and Hydrogen firing. As well as leading the maturation and de-risking of the technical components for these solutions, he uses his project experience to ensure optimal integration into the facility to deliver cost competitive greenhouse gas abatement.
