Dr. Jong Keun Yu is Senior Researcher of Samsung Heavy Industries, who specializes in computer based simulation (CFD) of both heat and fluid and safety engineering for multiple offshore projects since 2011. Dr. Yu is responsible for On-board Carbon Capture System (OCCS) for various commercial vessels and now focuses on implementing waste heat recovery systems, such as LNG cold energy recovery and thermal energy recovery of marine internal combustion engine and boiler, on OCCS to improve operating economy of OCCS. Dr. Yu holds a degree of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering of University of California, San Diego.
