Mr. Surprenant is the Global Business Development Manager for Carbon Capture Solutions at Saipem, the advanced technology and engineering platform for designing, constructing and operating safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants. An accomplished professional with more than 30 years of experience in Engineering, Operations, and Commercial senior leadership roles, he worked at Shell for 20 years domestically and abroad in upstream and downstream operations and businesses before joining CO2 Solutions Inc. as senior VP and CTO in 2017. He joined the company in 2020 following Saipem's acquisition of the CO2 Solutions technology. In his current role, he establishes contacts across industrial sectors seeking the best carbon capture process by explaining in simple words how enzymatic technology is an industry game changer over other capture methods. Mr. Surprenant is a graduate from McGill University in Chemical engineering, and is a licensed engineer from l’Ordre Des Ingénieurs du Québec.
