Dr. Joseph M. Gebara is currently Acting CEO and Managing Director of Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Company. Ahmadiah is known for delivering some of Kuwait’s most prestigious high-rise towers, hotels and malls. Ahmadiah is also involved in the construction of Gas facilities in Kuwait and Saudi. Up till May of 2023, Dr. Gebara served as the CEO and Director on the operating board of the C.A.T. Group. Through its operating centres in the GCC, Africa and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the C.A.T. Group is a leader in the contracting industry serving a wide spectrum of sectors including Oil & Gas, Utilities, Civil, Infrastructure and Industrial Buildings,Dr. Gebara has earned a degree in Civil Engineering in 1987 from the American University of Beirut and received a master’s degree in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1991 and a PhD. in Civil Engineering and Computational Mechanics from Purdue University in 1994.Before joining C.A.T., Dr. Gebara was the Senior Vice President – Project Delivery, Oil and Gas at SNC Lavalin.During a career that spanned more than three decades, Dr. Gebara has held various positions including General Manager Offshore at Bechtel Corporation, and Vice President – Floaters Operations for Technip USA.Dr. Gebara is a member of the Governing Body of Gastech, the largest energy transition, nitrogen and climatech conference. Dr. Gebara, has also held numerous roles on industry and advisory boards including as member of the Offshore Energy Safety Advisory Committee to the U.S. Secretary of Interior, as well as on the Industry Advisory Committee of the Petroleum Department for the University of Texas at Austin.Dr. Gebara is based in the Middle East and the United States.
