Akbar Malikovich Tulegenov received his undergraduate degree from Warwick Business School, UK majoring in Management in 2007, followed by his Master’s degree in Marketing and Strategy.
After graduating the university, he worked as a contracted engineer at a national company (NC) KazMunaiGas on a Karachaganak project.
He then continued his career at Hinduja Group, English-Indian financial-industrial conglomerate, where he worked as an investment analyst of oil and gas projects and a manager of business development of RoK oil and gas sector.
From 2014 until 2020, he was a Director at Pietro Florentini, design and production of regulation systems, measurement and treatment of natural gas company. After a few years at Tengri Partners Investment Banking (Kazakhstan), he became a Chairman of the Board of Directors, where he made core investment decisions and identified company strategy.
At the meantime, he was a member of Board of Directors at Alma Telecommunications Kazakhstan JSC and a Chairman of the Board of Directors at Leasing Group JSC. In 2021, he received his MBA from Warwick Business School.
Since April 2022 he is a Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Social and Labor Relations at QazaqGaz NC
